Polydimethylsilane (PDMS)
Due to low load performance and 3d space orbit of Si, electrons widely delocalize along the 51—Si
main chain, which makes polydimethylsilane have properties of photoconductivity, third-order nonlinear optics, photoluminescence and electroluminescence etc. It has wide application prospects in the areas of photoconductivity, LED, nonlinear optical material and so on, which is the reason it draws people’s great attention.
Application
(1) preparation of SiC ceramic。 (2) initiator for olefin polymerization (3) as photoconductivity and charge transfer complex (4) as high resolution photoresist (5) as nonlinear optical material (6) to make LED (7) to develop new optical memory material (8) widely used in other photoelectric materials. Recently, polydimethylsilane film has been used in nano-lithography of contact-type scanning probe microscope (SPM), which has advantages of higher solubility and less radiation less in the stage of sample forming.
As a kind of new functional polymer materials, PDMS is very significant for the research both in
theory and in practice. Polydimethylsilane has become a hotspot of organic silicon area. With the deepening of the research, polydimethylsilane is expected to be applied in more fields.
